Fine print:

  • Please do not send a check to the Bible Bowl office.
  • Cancellations: Should circumstances require you to cancel anyone, the deposit is 95% refundable up to Oct 31 after which it will be forfeited because by that time we have paid the host site in anticipation of your commitment to attend. This means it cannot be applied to someone else’s onsite fee.
  • Food: If your registration option includes food, it includes supper on Friday, lunch and supper on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. Breakfast is on your own. There will be no on-site sale of cafeteria meals. Special dietary requests are not guaranteed and must be emailed to office@biblebowl.org by Oct 31 and will be forwarded to the cafeteria manager.
  • Hoodie: We will be using the size you specified in the t-shirt field upon registration. PLEASE CHECK THE SIZE because there will be very limited opportunity to change size on site and remember that you might want your hoodie to be slightly larger than a t-shirt.

Competition

  • Team: Team competition will consist of the Quick Draw tournament which seeds into the Championship and Challenger Double-Elimination brackets. The exact number of Quick Draw rounds and the size of the Double-Elimination brackets will not be determined until registration has closed and is always subject to change.
  • Individual: Players are not required to participate in the Individual Tournament, and you do not need to sign-up, as we leave enough space for all players WHO REGISTER BY THE DEADLINE to participate. The number of slots available is set at the registration deadline, so after that, players registering late might not get a slot in the Individual Tournament.
  • Written Test: Players are not required to take the Written Test, and you do not need to sign-up as we leave enough space for all players. If a player needs a test accommodation due to a disability, you must email office@biblebowl.org by October 31 to request it and to receive instructions.
  • Quote Bee: Please opt-in all players who wish to participate in the Quote Bee so we can plan for the appropriate number of rooms. There will be very limited slots left by the event date, so those who do not register for the Quote Bee may not get to participate.
  • Memory Verse Challenge: We will once again have a Memory Verse Challenge! Details will be provided when you check-in. If you want to support the Memory Verse Challenge with your donation, you may do so HERE. Choose “Memory Verse Challenge” from the fund dropdown menu. THANK YOU!!!

Schedule

You will receive a detailed schedule upon check-in. For planning purposes, it will not start before 12:30pm on Dec 5 and it will not go later than 3:00p on Dec 7.

Deadlines

  • Oct 31: Registration closes
  • Oct 31: Refund deadline of 95% of your deposit. After this your deposit is forfeited.
  • Oct 31: Written Test accommodation request
  • Oct 31: Special dietary requests emailed to office@biblebowl.org
  • Nov 14: Roster changes (you can re-arrange players until this date, but no new players or teams can be added after Oct 31)

Fine Print

  • Team Slots: Team slots are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. Please remember that a team is not registered until all initial fees have been paid, and all players must also be registered for a local league. In the event the tournament fills up and there are teams on the waiting list, groups with multiple teams that could be condensed into fewer teams will be asked to do so. For example, a group with 12 players playing as 4 teams may be asked to condense into 3 teams.
  • Quizmasters: Each group will be required to bring 1 quizmaster, then 1 additional quizmaster for every two teams you register. However, we may not need all quizmasters and will do our best to use only quizmasters who wish to quiz.

Live Scores

We will be using live scoring again, but EVERYONE MUST USE THE SCORE-PRO MODULE INSIDE THE BIBLE QUIZZER APP. Install the Bible Quizzer App, then tap Purchase, then find the Free Score-Pro module for Bible Bowl.

Office Closure

The Bible Bowl office will close Nov 28 until we return from Nationals, so any correspondence received will be returned after Nationals. If you must cancel a team, please email office@biblebowl.org so that we can access the impact it will have on the tournament. Thanks for your help with this.

REITERATING: Please be aware that the deadline for a 95% deposit refund is Oct 31!!! After that you will not be able to register additional players or spectators with the food option, and if you cancel you will forfeit your deposit which means it cannot be applied to someone else’s onsite fee.
